Apostolos Pittas is a graduate student of philosophy at the University of Colorado Boulder, interested in political philosophy, ethics, philosophy of law, and PPEL (philosophy, politics, economics, and law). He serves as a funded, graduate teaching assistant for bioethics (summer 2025 and spring 2025), philosophy and the international order (spring 2025), and symbolic logic (fall 2024).
Additionally, he teaches PPEL at a number of academic institutions in the greater Denver area, including Community College of Aurora, Front Range Community College, and Colorado Early Colleges Aurora.
Previously, he taught at City University of New York and Long Island University Post. He also worked at the State Attorney's Office for the Sixth Judicial Circuit of Florida, serving the citizens of Pasco and Pinellas County.
His academic background is multi-disciplinary. He holds a J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law, an M.Sc. in economics from the University of Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne, an M.Sc. in international relations from the London School of Economics, an M.A. in national security affairs from the Institute of World Politics, a B.A. in economics from Columbia University, a B.A. in political science with a Minor in philosophy from the City University of New York Macaulay Honors College, and a Certificate in political psychology from Stanford University.
Pittas was born in Long Island, New York, and descends from Chios, Greece. Currently, he lives in Boulder County, Colorado.
